Bo-Hojicha (literally "stick hojicha") is made from the larger stalks that from which leaves are attached. Light and earthy in flavor, they make for a wonderful after dinner cupping.

  • Harvest: Late April - May
  • Region: Higashi Sonogi, Nagasaki

 

Steeping Recommendation

  • Tea: 3-5 grams (more tea for a bolder brew)
  • Time: 60 sec (10-15 sec, on 2nd; 30-60 sec on 3rd steeping)
  • Water: 70C/158F, 200 ml (hotter temp for a more bitter brew)
  • Resteep 2-3x
